88年的汉城奥运会，对于中国体育乃至世界体育都具有深远的意义。这首《手拉手》旋律优美、韵味无穷、蕴意深刻且通俗上口，因而多年以后仍令人难忘。
由于此前很长一段时间美国和苏联两个超级体育强国相互敌视并抵制，使国际奥运大家庭产生了重大的不和谐因素。而在88年的汉城，两大体育巨人的手重新握在了一起，上演了世界体坛大团圆的好戏。
对于中国体育而言，汉城惨败也是刻骨铭心的，因为那届奥运会让中国体育真正看清了自身实力并由此更加奋发图强。如果说现在的中国体育已进入世界一流行列，那真不应忘记汉城奥运会，因为正是当时我们那可怜的五枚金牌（苏联55枚）刺激了国人、并由此开始了中国体育的诸多积极变革。
尽管88年的汉城奥运会曾被接二连三的兴奋剂事件困扰，但团结、交流、进取却是主旋律。《手拉手》的问世，也在很大程度上诠释了奥运和谐精神，为世界体育发展史书写了浓重的一笔。 |
